Sony Xperia i1 'Honami' leaks once again, sized up next to Xperia Z | Android Central

Honami

Big screen, Sony G Lens, 20.7-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor

Another day, another set of leaked photos of Sony's upcoming flagship phone for late 2013, the "Honami" or "Xperia i1." Four fresh images have popped up on Chinese forum Digi-Wo, seemingly confirming a few details about the device's impressive rear camera. Branding around the camera assembly itself points to a Sony G lens and a 20.7-megapixel 1/2.3-inch sensor (a step down from the rumored 1/1.6-inch sensor size.)

Another of the photos gives us a closer look at the outer trim of the device, revealing a more curved edge than that of the Xperia Z, and an Xperia Z Ultra-style magnetic charging port. There are also side-by-side shots with the iPhone and Xperia Z, and the latter in particular shows a significant size increase, possibly indicating the presence of a five-plus-inch screen.

Between all the various photo leaks we've already got a pretty good idea what the "Honami" will look like. But we'll have to wait on the official announcement, likely to take a place on Sept. 4 ahead of IFA 2013, before we learn more about what Sony's latest device can do, and when we'll be able to get our hands on it. In the meantime, you'll find more pics after the break.
